On Friday 15th September, our lab celebrated a significant milestone as Franzi successfully defended her thesis.
For the past five years, Franzi has delved into the intricate world of host-pathogen interactions, specifically studying Plasmodium and Toxoplasma and how these parasites interact with their mammalian hosts.
The day was marked by an engaging and thorough defense. Franzi's opponent, Prof. Volker Heussler, and her committee members, Prof. Rays Jiang, Prof. Christopher Sundling, and Prof. Niklas Björnström, challenged her with a series of probing questions, which Franzi resolved confidently!
