Last week we received the visit from Professor David Serre who came all the way from the University of Maryland to share his research at MBW. The work from Prof. Serre and his team focuses primarily on the use of cutting-edge genomic assays to learn more about Plasmodium vivax, a parasite that cannot be continuously cultured in the lab and is difficult to study in vivo. It was inspiring to hear about their research and findings!
