This week we’ve had the pleasure of hosting Professor John Adams from the University of South Florida at our lab. It was a fantastic opportunity to engage with one of the leading figures in the malaria research field. John shared valuable insights from his work on host-parasite interactions and the metabolic processes crucial for malaria parasites.
We also had the opportunity to discuss the history of malaria research with John. He reminded us of the importance of serendipity in science and how seizing every opportunity can lead to great discoveries. Additionally, he emphasized the need to find a differentiating edge when conducting research, encouraging us the students to think creatively and strategically in our work.
It was a truly inspiring visit, and we look forward to continuing the conversation and exploring potential collaborations in the future!
