New draft pics from Munich and Stockholm: Nicole and Adrian join Ankarklev Lab!

We are excited to welcome two new students to the Ankarklev Lab!

Nicole, a bachelor’s student in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from Biberach University of Applied Science, has joined the Transmission Team for a 6-month internship followed by her bachelor’s thesis project. She will be contributing to our efforts to understand the biology behind cell-fate decisions during Plasmodium gametocytogenesis.

Adrian, a master’s student from Uppsala University, will be performing a computational project to improve our understanding of Giardia virulence, as well as experimental work relating to host-parasite interactions in the malaria-infected liver. Adrian’s signed up for a “one-year contract”, applying both bioinformatics and wet lab skills in his research.

Välkommen, Nicole and Adrian!
