We’re thrilled to share that our recent publication in Nature Communications have caught the attention of TV4 Nyheterna, a major Swedish TV news channel. It was an exciting experience having their crew visit our lab to record and interview us about our work. The coverage, featured both on TV and in written news, allowed us to showcase our research to a broader audience beyond the scientific community.
You can read the article and watch the interview here (In Swedish).
Our studies focus on two key aspects of malaria research. The first paper examines how male and female Plasmodium falciparum gametocytes develop, identifying crucial genes and transcriptional programs involved. The second study uses Spatial Transcriptomics to map host-pathogen interactions in the liver during malaria infection, revealing changes in gene expression and inflammation.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our efforts to advance malaria research!
